Hanle, Ladakh, India

Green landscape Cottage is a homely family-run stay in Buk Shado, a hamlet near Hanle on the Changthang plateau of Ladakh. Hosted by Kesang Dawa, it offers cosy double rooms with home-cooked Ladakhi meals (breakfast and dinner included) and warm, personal hospitality. Set beneath some of the darkest night skies in India, it is an ideal base for stargazing near the Hanle Dark Sky Reserve and the Indian Astronomical Observatory.
